I worked on a branding design project for Rio, a local SME brand in the Philippines that celebrates everyday essentials made to last. Think home decor, personal care, and everything in between—each piece crafted with care and a whole lot of heart. The goal was to capture the essence of their brand: timeless, artisan-made goods that blend function and beauty seamlessly into daily life. From the logo to the overall brand identity, I focused on creating a look and feel that’s warm, inviting, and rooted in craftsmanship, highlighting their passion for quality and the stories behind each product.
The brand identity for Rio is a thoughtful blend of elements that reflect its values and story. Community and inclusivity shine through overlapping shapes, while the open arch symbolizes honesty and transparency.
The minimalist forms mimic everyday objects, with flowing lines representing a river—tying to the brand’s name—and a leaf motif emphasizing sustainability. The bold, clean typography grounds the design, creating a cohesive and modern look that celebrates timeless, artisan-made essentials crafted to elevate daily life.
